Visiting the book fair twice...

A person who is not interested to read books, doesn't mean that they hate books, it just they read E-Books online. For a person like me, visiting a book fair is something abnormal about myself. Yet, I decided to go to the book fair alone for the first time, since I could not go to the book fair last year.

It was very crowded as I went around 4:30pm and I was amazed to see the book collections that they had, and my mind was blank, just roaming around the shops.

I found a magazine book based on BTS and I thought I could buy it, but when I checked the price, it was ₹2000, not
worth it to buy.

Then I went on a book search such as the Macbeth and Twelfth night by William shakespeare. It was very difficult to search, as some shops didn't have it or it was out of stock.

While I was searching, I accidentally met my Tamil professor MK sir and he was shocked to see me too😅. After searching for a long time, I found these books in different shops.

The next day, I went to the book fair with my brother this time. As we went in the afternoon, it was not crowded and we went in search of TRB chemistry book for my brother.

We met Karu.Pazhaniappan and perarivalan's mother in the book fair.

While we were searching, I found a shop where they were selling Japanese comic books and my favorite Pokémon comic book was there. I also found another Japanese romantic comic book which that comic was adapted to anime series. I was in an urge to buy it, but it was really costly😢.

As an E-Book reader, I never read books and never had a book on my own, unless it is for educational purposes or someone would have gifted me.

But now, I have a novel book that is owned by me and not for educational purposes. It's a famous book called You've reached sam by Dustin Thao. After the exam gets over, I will read this book.
These are books, I bought in the book fair.

The struggles of being a plus size woman

People love to do shopping. They can literally spend whole day to buy clothes for themselves and for their family but, there are people who spend whole or half day, just to buy one comfortable dress for them and They are the plus size people.

How difficult is to manage it?
We literally go around the shops, to choose our favorite dress and it can be any model or any type, but it is difficult to get it, Why?

The disadvantage while we buy dress is huge, and there is a lot's of difference in this, compare to ordinary people with their regular size. It not their fault that they were born with extraordinary height that follows their family trait. I don't want to talk about the body structure and all, but we do suffer in getting a good dress.

Even if we get one likable dress based on our taste preferences that we have for the colour, either
1) The colour will be good, but it's a regular size
2) They don't have collection for plus size people
3) It's very costly for plus size dress that's not upto the worth.
4) It's not fit for us because stitching is irregular.

It is also one kind of discrimination that we face while buying the dress. Either we have go such shops like Zudio, Trends, max, yousta, and more shops that are good but sometimes the price is too high.

They don't even consider us as a women and they think that the dress for women is only upto XL. How discrimination, is for us!

And don't think the plus size people are only because of their body weight, it can be also the height of the people. I am nearly 5.8ft and It's difficult to get a dress. What about those people who have more height than me?

And don't think this kind of discrimination is only for women, it is for men also. Even in buying a chappal for women whose size is 11, 12 or even more than that is impossible to get it. They think that women have feet size upto size 9.

I hope Indians would consider the plus size people, so that they can produce more dress for us in a affordable manner.

Take turns to clean your home 🏡

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog!

I have no content to write about.

Everyday is a new day for us. We'll learn new things, new hobbies, just to make the day a good day.

In those annual holidays that was on May 2025, I had to make sure that my day should be a good day, which was difficult for me and also for everyone because, everyday We'll face a new problem or an obstacle, and somehow we have to tackle the problem to solve it and cross that obstacle.

I had food cravings which was good, but sometimes it became worse. The only good thing is that, It was a home made one, which is healthier compared to the restaurant one's.

Managing family provision that is grocery, cooking and also maintaining cleanliness and neatness in arranging things is the main important things that I had to take care off.

Recently after Christmas 2025, Me and brother took charge in cleaning the shelves and throwing away the waste products. Rearranging the things into a neat one, which made us hectic, but we did our best on doing that, though most of the work had been done by my brother, since I am a lazy person to do so😅😮‍💨.

I know most of us won't keep things in the correct place. Though we think that it is always a show for the people who comes to your home as a guest but, it is necessary to replace the things properly.

A home is always a sweet home for us.
So start from today, try to replace things properly, rearrange it, maintain it and make your home into a sweet one 😉.

A solo Travelling in Chennai... Short stories of my life - 8

A girl from a town, who is not used with Chennai lifestyle. Though she travelled to Chennai many times with her family,  and suddenly have to travel alone, how does it feel?

This is how my parents felt, where I have to travel alone in Chennai, when I was a first year college student. It was so awkward for me to ask my friends or my roommates to travel with me as an help.

At first, it was so difficult where I have to beg people,  to accompany me for travel. I used to travel with my friends or my roomie to accompany me, but then asking the person again and again is like irritating them or make them frustrated on this. Though they never told the uneasiness of how they felt, I thought maybe I should travel alone.

It was the even semester time, I started travelling alone. There are many things which I am not aware of in Chennai. But the strangers of unknown people here, irrespective of their age they helped me, guided me in Chennai which shows the humanity here.

As a girl, travelling travelling alone in Chennai, my parents always called me to help, to guide me, though their inner conscience were afraid, of what something terrible happens to my daughter.

Now, I am a person who loves to travel alone and let me tell you, I never faced any harassment, eve teasing. The most terrifying place in Chennai is North Chennai, this is what people told me about this for a girl to travel alone. But let me tell you, I have even travelled to north chennai alone, without any help of my friends. This is so true about Chennai (வந்தாரை வாழவைக்கும் சென்னை).

You may think that this is very simple for a person to survive in Chennai, but it is not easy at all, especially for a women. If they get used to regularly, it is a safe place for all.

Why am I writing a blog about this?
For those who read my blog about this especially if you are not from Chennai, don't think that someone will help us all the time. You need to stand up on your feet and survive here.

In Conclusion, Chennai is a place where you'll learn a life lesson and it teach you many things about life. It depends on how you utilise it.

If you have self confidence on yourselves and have guts, please travel alone and be brave enough to face the upcoming obstacles that you might have to face while travelling in Chennai.

When forgetting leads to restlessness... Short stories of my life - 7

It was the month of winter where I was very tired, when I returned to my hostel from my home on 15th December morning. I attended the classes that day, which made me even tired but, I had other plans for that day. I went to the bus stop and waited for a long time for the bus to come and I already missed the bus. I felt demotivated and called my mom at that time. I told her that I am going to use train for travel, but she told me to wait and assured me that I will get a bus, so I stood there patiently. Within few seconds, A bus came 51A to T-Nagar. I got inside the bus, and travelled nearly one hour 15minutes I guess.

First lesson - wait patiently, or else you will miss the opportunity. Don't be impatient!

Firstly, I went to fancy accessories shop to buy earrings after that, I went to Saravana stores to buy some Jeans for myself. I reached Mambalam Railway station and got a ticket to Tambaram. I hoped onto the ladies compartment, admist the crowd I travelled and reached Guindy, until I remembered something. I forgot the earrings that was bought and kept in the underground of Saravana stores, where we need to keep our things there. I panicked and got down from the train, searched for railway counter to buy ticket and went to mambalam again and brought my earrings back from the store. I was exhausted and felt my leg was numb and suddenly, I made the decision to use Bus to reach my hostel. It was nearly two hours of travel and reached the hostel at 9pm, due to heavy traffic at Velacherry and Pallikaranai. It was a nice experience, travelling alone at night in Chennai and an unforgettable memories that I created was a disaster.

Second lesson: Don't be forgetful of your things while travelling. Be mindful and careful when you are travelling alone.

Why colours are becoming controversial nowadays?

Hello everyone! Today I went to Vikravandi, to see the newly opened Saravana stores. They bought an old cotton mill, and they changed it into a shopping stores, which is now welcomed by the nearby towns. It is not a muti storey building like we have in Chennai, it is all in ground floor.

The main thing that I noticed was the colours. The dress that they have hanged on was very dark and bright colours, and it was a good attraction for the people to buy. whereas in Chennai, they always hanged on was light coloured dresses in maximum and dark coloured dresses in minimum.

when you actually see the difference between the town and the cities is that,

City people prefers the light and shady colours, and they buy it in very expensive manner. It's not that there is no dark colour dress in the shop, it just people obviously choose light colours.

Whereas in towns and villages, people love to wear the dark and attractive coloured dress, even if it is not suitable for their skin colour and irrespective of whether the dress is suitable for them or not, they knew the importance and value of those colours.

Another main reason is the people's status, that shows the huge difference in wearing dresses in city people and the town people.

You can actually see the difference when you attend any ceremonies in towns or in cities.

I have went to almost all Saravana stores Branches in Chennai, and I couldn't find a suitable dark coloured dress for me. Even I could find one, either it is very expensive or it is not upto my size, where I have to struggle to get one dress for myself.

Nowadays, the colours are always linked to politics.

I still remember when I worn Black Jeans with maroon short top with black shawl, people once told me that I look like DMK flag. If a person wears an orange colour top, people call them as a BJP supporter. They are neither wearing any BJP symbol nor supporting to BJP. That's also one reason, why I couldn't see people wearing orange coloured dress and It's very rare to see such people wearing it.

I hope people should become colourful in representing culture, because India is a very colourful country 😊.
