While travelling, I'll listen to songs and also, I'll enjoy the scenery. I can see different people with different culture and I can see the personality of the people's behaviour too.
While travelling from Tambaram to my hometown, I have seen the drivers take a break while travelling. They drink tea or have snacks and they take 10 to 15 minutes for their break, which makes me feel annoyed at times, that I reach my hometown delayed. But now, my perspective is changed.
Think about it, they are leaving their family, doing a shift work, driving for more than 12 hrs to reach their correct destination if it is a long travel, they lose their sleeping time and most importantly they should make sure that the passengers have dropped at their correct destination at correct time. How difficult their Job is?
In my opinion, I would say that driving is the most dangerous Job in the world. They are driving, while carrying many lives of the passengers, whether be it a train, Bus, car, aeroplane, metro rail, auto, bike transport. Whoever is driving on a road, their life on the road is dangerous.
Still people loves to criticise the state government, for not providing the transport into a better one, like how people?
Some drivers may or may not be good at taking care of their passengers and I agree to it. I have travelled to my hometown using bus from different depots like KCBT, Kanyakumari, marthandam, Trichy, Madurai, villupuram, kumbakonnam, etc and I never seen neither the driver nor a conductor indulged in harrasing.
Even one time, the conductor helped me to change the seat, just because a male sat beside me. How kind they are!
Well this blog started with, about Travel and ended up about drivers. So, this essay is dedicated to all the drivers who drives for their life, for their passengers and This essay is specifically about the government bus drivers!
Hats off for their hardwork!!🫡
