Today is Ash Wednesday, for that I woke up at 6:15am and I got myself ready. I went to church alone at 7:10am. The mass went for exact 1 hour from 7:30am to 8:30am. While coming back to the hall, I bought breakfast in a hotel, as today's breakfast was Maggi, which I totally hate it. I had my breakfast in my room and I went to the class with Aksha around 9:50am, as we didn't have both the first hour and the second hour.
Today, we had a seminar for women students in the Anderson hall. As I am not feeling well, I didn't attend the seminar and I went to the hall. I had done my laundry, where I had so many clothes to wash.
I slept at 12:30pm and I woke up at around 2pm. I couldn't even talk comfortably with my mom, as I have nose blockage. I couldn't attend SCM and THINK TANK, because of this cold and fever.
Again I slept for 3hrs and I woke up at 5:30pm. Around 6pm, me and my friend Vidhyalakshmi went and sat near botany tank, while waiting for our friends to come. Vidhya's friends and also my friend Aksha went to Bishop Heber Chapel for Tamil service today.
To my surprise, many well known classmates came to the service.
This is my first time attending the Tamil service. It was totally different compared, to the mass in Fathima church. I really liked the sermon by Rev.C.Ross sir.
Bible verse for the Day!
Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing.
Perhaps he will turn back and relent,
and leave a blessing behind him,
cereal offerings and libations
to be presented to the Lord, your God
Blow the trumpet in Zion!
Proclaim a fast!
Announce a solemn assembly!
Gather the people together;
summon the community;
assemble the elders;
gather the children,
even infants at the breast.
Call forth the bridegroom from his bedroom
and the bride from her wedding chamber.
Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord,
stand weeping, between the temple porch and the altar,
as they say, “Spare your people, O Lord,
and do not allow your heritage to be mocked
and subjected to the contempt of the nations.
Why should the peoples say
‘Where is their God?’ ”
Thereupon, the Lord was stirred to feel concern for his land, and he took pity on his people.
Joel 2: 12-18
Though I got permission from the hall for Tamil service, I couldn't sit there for a long time as I am not feeling well and also the AC, which I couldn't breathe properly.
Me and my friend Aksha left the Chapel and came back to our respective halls, before the curfew time.
That's it guys! See you in next diaries!
